Vir Bahadur Singh

Vir Bahadur Singh was an Indian National Congress Leader from Gorakhpur and a former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Union Cabinet Minister of Communication.

Political career

He participated in Quit India movement in 1942.[1]

He remained Chief Minister from 24 September 1985 till 25 June 1988.[2]

He became Union Cabinet Minister of Communication in 1988.[3]

He died in 1990.

His son has been the minister of state several times presently 'the forest minister of Uttar Pradesh from the Bahujan Samaj Party Fateh Bahadur Singh [4]
